The mission of NCADD-Long Beach is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction, and to reduce the effects of domestic violence on its victims. We offer education, prevention, treatment, and recovery programs on the diseases of alcoholism and drug addiction and related problems including domestic violence in order for individuals, families, and communities to have better, safer lives.
Founded in 1944 by Marty Mann, the first woman to find long-term sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) provides education, information, help and hope to the public. It advocates prevention, intervention and treatment through offices in New York and Washington, and a nationwide network of Affiliates.
